Kendall "Thunder" Warren Mork

Kendall "Thunder" Warren Mork, 42, son of Kenneth Benjamin and Georgia (Meyer) Mork, was born Aug. 17, 1949 in Postville. He died Saturday, Feb. 1, 1992 at Scenic Acres, a residential care facility near St. Olaf, IA.

He graduated from Valley High School in 1967, and from the Northwest Missouri State College at Maryville, MO, with a degree in marketing. He owned and operated Thunder's Feed and Grain and T.K. Silk in Edgewood, where he lived for the last 15 years. He had previously lived in Clermont.

He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth, who died Jan. 7, 1987, and a great nephew, Joshua Mack, who died June 20, 1991.

Surviving are his mother, Georgia Mork of Elgin, IA; two sisters, Janann and her husband Alan Seabrooke of Elgin, and Nona and her husband Wayne Sawyer of Waukon; five nieces and nephews -- Jill and Randy Mack, Tim and Lynn Seabrooke, Robin Sawyer, Scott and Julie Sawyer; and six great nephews and nieces -- Christian and Shannon Mack, Alan, Andrew and Kari Seabrooke, and Haley Sawyer.

Casket bearers were Curtis Anderson, Robert J. Schaffer, Jim Downey, Noel Smith, John M. McMillan and Francis Arthur.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. in the Marion Lutheran Church in Gunder. The Rev. William Palmquist officiated. The soloist, Billy Boyce, was accompanied by Corrine Landsgard on the organ. The Schutte Funeral Service of Clermont was in charge of the arrangements.
