Cedar Falls-- Services for Delpha O'Brien, 83, of Windsor Care Center, formerly of 3112 Boulder Drive, will be 2pm Friday at Garden View Chapel, Waterloo with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
She died Wednesday (July 5) at the care center after a lenthy illness.
She was born on July 22 1905, in Fayette County, daughter of Charles and Jennie Welsh Bigelow. She married George W O'Brien on Sept 26, 1925, in Arlington. He died May 13, 1989.
Survivors include a son, Ralph of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Betty Walbaum of Grundy Center and Shirley Lantz of Cedar Falls; and 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Bigelow; and a sister, Leta DeHart.
Friends may call from 4 to 9pm. today and from 9am to services Friday at the fueral chapel.
