Arlington--John Frederick ("Fritz") Bigelow, 85, of Arlington died Friday at Grandview Care Center in Oelwein.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday, Aug 6 at Kerns-Jamison Funeral Home in Arlington, with burial in the Taylorsville Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation is after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Norbert (Virginia) Slater and Mrs Doyle (LaVerle) Hulbert, both of Arlington; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his first wife, Nellie Harkin, who died in 1957, and his second wife, Flossie McFarlane, who died in 1983; a daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
He was a retired mechanic of the Arlington area.
