—Samuel H. Robertson, father of Presiding Elder Robertson, died at his home at Fayette, on Wednesday last week, aged 86 years, 9 months and 28 days. He was a native of Kentucky, pioneered it in that state, also in Indiana, from 1835 to 1850, when he came to Iowa and located where he has since resided. The aged wife and two of three children survive him. He with Robert Alexander founded Upper Iowa University.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born June 22, 1811 and died April 20, 1898. He is buried in Grandview Cemetery.
