A three-year-old child of Wm. Horan of Clermont was kicked to death by a colt, the skull being crushed. It was at first believed that the little girl had been crushed under the wheels of a wagon, driven by the father, but it was later discovered that the accident was not caused that way, which was some relief to the grief-stricken father. The child had been playing in the yard with other children.
