Mark Horan, an aged farmer residing about three miles south of here, died very suddenly on Tuesday of last week of apoplexy. Mr. Horan was one of the pioneer settlers of Fayette county and was highly respected by all who knew him. His sudden demise was a shock to his friends.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows his name as Marcus and that he is buried in St. Peters Cemetery in Clermont. He was born in 1825 and died April 24, 1900.
