The Fayette Reporter of last week gives a lengthy article occasioned by the death of George E. Comstock of that city. He had long been a resident of Fayette county, and was strongly identified with the growth and early life of the city of Fayette, being one of its pioneer residents. He was Postmaster at Fayette for a number of years, being appointed in September, 1889, and continuing in this capacity until quite recently.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Grandview Cemetery and was born Oct. 30, 1839 and died Jan. 16, 1911.
