William Taylor died at Fayette on the 17th. He was born in Ohio in 1851 and came to Fayette county in 1857 and took up land in Hanlan township. To this he added other tracts until he acquired nearly a section. When he ceased fanning he moved into Fayette. Besides serving two teams as county supervisor, and one term in the legislature, for many years he was a member of the board of trustees of Upper Iowa University, and at the time of his death was chairman of the executive committee.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Grandview Cemetery and was born August 22, 1831.
