EDWARD TRIPP DIED ON THE BATTLEFIELD
Randalia Boy Who Left School to Enlist Was Killed In Action September 16th.

Once again our community is saddened by the news concerning another of our soldier boys, Edward Tripp, the oldest son of our agent, G.W. Tripp, and wife, who is officially reported as killed in action soon after he entered the trenches. He left school to enlist and enlisted April 16, 1917. He was in training at Camp Cody, N.M., until he was sent to France. In France he attended the Base signal School until he was transferred to the 11th Inf. Then he was placed in charge of a signal platoon. He went into battle at St. Michael's on Sept. 12, 1918, and was killed in action Sept. 16, 1918. His younger brother, John, is in the service in Germany at the present time. Besides his parents and brother he leaves a younger sister, Luella, who, with her mother is at present in Lynnhaven, Florida. Edward passed his 21st birthday anniversary last December.
