Obituary.
N. F. Hodgdon and wife, of Oelwein, were called to mourn the loss of their two little sons, aged seven and five, respectively.
Newell Freeman Hodgdon was born March 5, 1897, and died June 18, 1903. Jesse Roy Hodgdon was born February 22, 1896, and died June 19, 1903, but twelve hours after his brother’s death. They were sick but a short time with pneumonia and their untimely death is a severe blow to their loving parents who have the sympathy of many friends in their hour of sorrow. A beautiful service was held in Oelwein, Sunday, the 23rd Psalm being the text. They were laid to rest at Oelwein on the same day and thus a home is made sad and desolate.
