After more than a week of suffering A.N. Toutsch passed away on Sunday, August 7, at his home between here and Arlington. He was born at Helzingen, Luxemburg, Germany, fifty-seven years ago and came to the United States in 1876. He resided for a number of years near Elkader, working on a farm and later engaging in the creamery business at Elkader and Strawberry Point.

Some twenty years ago he was united in marriage with Miss Marcella Snedigar. To this union four children were born. One daughter died in infancy. The three sons are Marshall, Henry and Harvey. Beside these and the wife he is survived by an aged mother, one sister, Mrs. Ed Hofer, and two brothers, John of Elkader and Henry of Kimball, S.D.

A short funeral service was conducted at the home by Rev. N.A. Mershon, D.D., early Tuesday morning of last week. The remains were then taken to the Catholic church at this place where further services were held after which the boy was laid in Grandview cemetery.

Mr. Toutsch won the respect of all who knew him and a genuine sorrow pervaded the neighborhood at his departure.
