OBITUARY.
MRS. MATILDA ASH

was born in the state of Kentucky, Feb. 16, 1830, and died Nov. 12, 1887, at the age of 57., 8 mos. and 28 days. The deceased, with her husband, came to Fayette county 32 years ago., where they have since resided. Over two years ago Mrs. Ash was thrown from a vehicle and received injuries from which she never fully recovered. For purposes of recuperation, Mr. and Mrs. Ash spent the past summer in Nebraska. All was done by her medical friend that could be done. Friends kind and affectionate administered to her in every way possible during her long and severe illness. The funeral services were largely attended and were conducted according to usages and were conducted according to usages of the United Brethren in Christ. The abundance of flowers placed upon the bier fitly represented the life that Mrs. Ash lived.
