Funeral services for John Wesley Lint were held Sunday August 12, at 2 p.m. at the Belles Funeral home with Rev. Wayne E. Shoemaker officiating. Services were also held on Monday at Quimby with interment there. Mr. Lint died at his home northeast Fayette on August 10 at the age of 86 years, 10 months, and 27 days. He had lived in the Fayette community since 1941. Was a mason and a farmer. He was born the son of Solomon and Anna Lint on Sept. 14, 1865[sic], at Richland Center, Wisconsin. On July 15, 1914, he was united in marriage with Gertrude Carpenter and they established...turning to farming for the last 28 years of his life. Surviving him are his wife, Gertrude, two sons, Charles of Fayette and John, Jr., of Red Oak; one daughter, Ethel Witcombe of Cherokee, Ia.; one stepson, Harold of Nationville, N.D.; and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughter, his parents, two sisters, and one brother.
