Loretta Marie Hawkins, age 105, of Waucoma, Iowa, died Saturday December 26, 2015 at the New Hampton Nursing and Rehab Center in New Hampton, Iowa. Services were held on Wednesday, December 30 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waucoma with burial in the church cemetery. Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.

Loretta was born October 11,1910 in St. Lucas, Iowa, daughter of Matthew and Maggie (Reicks) Drilling. On September 2, 1931 she married Ralph Hawkins at the St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Ossian, Iowa. Loretta worked on the farm with her family through the Depression until 1931. She later worked in the school cafeteria at the Turkey Valley School near Waucoma.

She is survived by her two daughters, Marge Hoggatt of Tacoma, Washington, and Virginia Bock of Janesville, Iowa; two daughters-in-law, Mary Hayden Wing of Sheridan, Wyoming and Shirley Arnold of Aurora, Iowa; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph;two sons Donald Hawkins and Ralph Hawkins, Jr.; two brothers Louis Huber and Clarence Huber; a sister Kathleen Huber and her step-father, Charles Huber.
