OBITUARY
WEITENHAGEN SERVICE TUESDAY

Services for Lawrence J. (Larry) Weitenhagen, 77, Cedar Rapids, were held Tuesday, March 17, at 1 p.m. in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, with interment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Larry died Saturday, March 14, 1998 at Mercy Medical Center after a short illness.

Larry was born Jan. 31, 1921 in West Union, the son of Frederick and Clara Blockhus Weitenhagen. He married Evelyn E. "Betty" Mikesell on March 31, 1944 in Des Moines.

Larry was an electrician. He served in the Navy during WWII.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty in 1994.

Larry is survived by a daughter, Cheri Tellin, Cedar Rapids; two sons, Michael, Des Moines, and James, Cedar Rapids; a brother. Robert, Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
