Rites Held For Arlington Man
ARLINGTON - Funeral services for Orange Rawson were held at Gleim Funeral home last Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in Taylorville cemetery. Orange Rawson was born near Taylorville March 14, 1868, and died at the Independence hospital April 16. He was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Delos Rawson. He attended school at Taylorville and the Seminary at Fayette.
On March 14, 1894, he married Jessie King, who died Feb. 19, 1901. On October 11 he married Mrs. Mary Schrader, and moved on a farm near Arlington. Here they made a home for Mrs. Schrader's children, Charles and Maude, and for Harry Taylor, who lived with them until grown. In 1916 Mr. and Mrs. Rawson moved to Arlington and they made their home until Mrs. Rawson's death. After her death, Mr. Rawson lived alone until his recent illness.
He is survived by his two step-children, Charles Schrader and Mrs. Dean Richards, Arlington; two grandchildren, Mrs. Maxine Downer, Lamont, and Mrs. Geraldine Daisy, Michigan, as well as several nieces and nephews.
