Elgin Echo, Thursday, 16 July 1908. West Union News column.
W. A. Clark lately received a letter from C. N. Fox of Hunter, Oklahoma, formerly of Elgin, Iowa. He writes of the death of his daughter, Lora Long, in Kansas, leaving nine children, one a small babe. From there he was called back to Hunter by the serious illness of his youngest daughter, Mrs. Angie Barber, who was improving when he wrote.
