FAIRBANK-Barbara J. Beierschmitt, 70, of rural Fairbank, died Monday, Dec. 20, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of cancer.

She was born May 30, 1934, in Waterloo, daughter of John W. and Rose Baumgartner Koch. She married Leo Beierschmitt Nov. 7, 1953, in Waterloo.

Mrs. Beierschmitt graduated from St. Mary's School in 1952 and had been a homemaker.

Survived by: her husband; a son, Greg (Lori) of Fairbank; four daughters, Rosanne (Jerry) Kratoska of Waterloo, Linda (Rick) Fergin of Fox River Grove, Ill., Molly (Doug) Ely of Lake in the Hills, Ill., and Lisa Bierschmitt of Fairbank; five grandchildren; two brothers, Paul (Delores) Koch and Stanley Koch, both of Waterloo; and a sister-in-law, Mary Beth (Kenneth) Koch.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Robert and Kenneth.

Services 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fairbank, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2:30 to 8 p.m. today at Woods Funeral Home, Fairbank, with a 3 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. Scripture service.
