Nick Croatt died Sunday afternoon at three o'clock at the hospital in New Hampton after suffering several days from injuries which he received Wednesday afternoon of last week, says the West Union Argo. Mr. Croatt was driving the team that pulled the hay fork and in some way the evener broke and struck him in the abdomen with a force that injured him internally. He was taken that evening to New Hampton and was operated in the hospital in an effort to save his life. Some hopes were entertained for his recovery until Sunday morning when he began to get worse. He was a farmer living one mile west of St. Lucas and was very prominent in public and political affairs of his community and county.
