DEATH OF E. L DANA.
The death of E. L. Dana, of this city, occurred at Excelsior Springs, Mo. Thursday. He had been at the Springs for some time in an effort to secure relief from rheumatism which reached the heart, causing his death. The remains were brought to the city, and the last services were held from the Methodist church Monday afternoon, Rev. George Kennedy officiating. Interment in the Oelwein cemetery. E. L. Dana was born in Buffalo Grove, August 17, 1875 and has been a resident of this city for several years where he has been employed as car repairer by the Chicago Great Western. Prior to coming here he was a trainman. Several years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Eva Dugan and to this union one child, Ruth, was born. He was a member of the A.C.U.W. and that society was in charge of the last services. Beautiful floral offerings were presented by the Workmen and the Railway Carmen. A father, wife, daughter, one sister and five brothers are left to mourn his loss. The sympathy of many friends is extended to the bereaved family.
