Postville Review, Sat., 2 March 1895.

The daughter of Thos. Fleming, who has been at the point of death for a long time with consumption, died on Wednesday night. It was only about a week ago that the son died of the same disease. Again we extend our sympathy in this great double bereavement.

Note: The Iowa Gravestone Photo Project shows photos of the gravestone of M. J. Fleming 12-11-1870 / 2-20-1895, and of Mary Fleming 12-2-1877 / 2-27-1895, located in St. Patrick's Catholic cemetery in Fayette County. The stone notes they were the children of Thomas and Hanna Fleming. Also listed on the stone is another son of Thomas and Hanna Fleming, Wm. Fleming. The newspaper date and dates of death for M. J. and Mary seem to indicate the above death notice refers to them.
