Father McCabe, for many years pastor of the Catholic church at Clermont, left his home in that place about two weeks since for a visit to Ireland to see his sisters. When he reached New York Father McCabe was taken with typhoid-pneumonia and after a very brief illness died. The remains were sent to Ireland for interment. His old parishioners in and around Clermont will sincerely mourn Father McCabe as he was much beloved and respected.- West Union Argo.
