DIED- At her home, in Clermont, on Monday, Aug. 24th, 1896, after a long and painful illness caused by heart weakness, terminating in dropsy, Mrs. Sophia Becker, in the 58th year of her age.

Sophia Miller was born at Ispringen, Germany, Dec. 19th, 1838. She emigrated to America with her brother in 1856, and was married to Dr. F. Becker in 1859. Her family consisted of three sons, Carl F., of Elgin, August S., of Clermont, and Fred J., of Postville. All survive her. Funeral from the home on the 25th, conducted by Rev. Blesin, of Eldorado, assisted by Rev. Salisbury, of Clermont. Interment in the Clermont cemetery. The Review extends its sympathy to the bereaved.
