Postville Review, Fri., 7 Mar. 1902.
Harry Heiserman, a young man of 19 years, residing near West Union, went to a school house near his home a week ago last Sunday, and after writing a message on the blackboard bequeathing his books to the school library, sat down in a seat, placed the muzzle of a 38 caliber revolver to his forehead and pulled the trigger, the bullet penetrating the brain and producing instant death. "In a fit of despondency" was the verdict of the coroner's jury.
