Hold Funeral Thursday for Mrs. John Warnholtz

Funeral services were held last Thursday at Floyd for Mrs. John Warnholtz, 38 years old, who was killed last Monday when the team of horses she had been driving ran over her while she was opening a gate. A three year old daughter riding on the wagon escaped without serious injuries.

Going from here to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Warnholtz, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Halverson and Marlyn, Marian, and Delila, of Postville, Roger Halverson of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Dorf Halverson and sons, Vernon and Thomas. Mrs. Lena Harnack and Henry Warnholtz of Waukon, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Kipp of Ossian, Henry Schultz, Sr., George Schultz and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Schlee of Castalia, Mrs. Dean Kneeskern of Calmar, and Mrs. Herman Nuehring of Waterville.

Mrs. Warnholtz was born July 23, at Sheffield, the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Ubben. She was married to John Warnholtz in 1925 at Postville and they have been living near Floyd. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Ruth Elaine and Mary Beth, both at home, also two brothers, three sisters, and her father.

Note: This is the first wife of John Warnholtz, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Warnholtz that lived in Fayette County.
