OBITUARY – JAMES LITTLE
James Little died Wednesday evening at 9:25 at his home in Arlington. Deceased has been a great sufferer since June 8th at which time a stroke of paralysis rendered him almost helpless and since that time constant care and attention have been given him by his home folks with the assistance of their many friends. Mr. Little was born in Virginia over seventy years ago and served in the Confederate army. He has been engaged in the cooper business for a number of years. He was a member of the 1.O.O.F. and the Church of Christ in which he has held honored offices. He was a good citizen esteemed by his neighbors. He leaves a widow, three daughters and two sons. Mrs. M. E. Marsh of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Walter Shumway, Harriett Walter and Don, of Arlington. Funeral was held Friday at 1:30 at the Christ Church conducted by Rev. S. Walton Fay together with services of the Odd Fellow lodge. Interment was made in Taylorville cemetery. Those acting as pall bears were: Geo. Simpson, John Wilken, Andrew Addie, John Kreamer, Alf Roberts and Orlo Norton. The places of business were closed during the funeral hour. The family has many friends whose sympathy is extended them in their sorrow. Among those in attendance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ben Little, Mrs. Willis Kuney, of Oelwein; Mrs. Little of Cresco; Mr. Durin and Miss Jennie Little and Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Marsh of Cedar Rapids.
