MRS. J.H. BROWN DIED THIS MORNING.

The many friends of Mrs. J. H. Brown in Oelwein and surrounding vicinity will be grieved to learn that she passed away quietly away this morning at 8:30 at her home, 216 First street NE., at the age of 75 years. She has been in failing health for some time.

Mrs. Brown is an old time resident of Oelwein, her husband having been one of the pioneer merchants of this city. He retired from active business prior to his death which occurred a few years ago. She leaves one daughter, Miss Lily Brown, who is a merchant in Oelwein, to mourn her death.

Funeral services will be in the Presbyterian church on Thursday afternoon at three o'clock, Rev. L. W. Hauter officiating. The arrangements are in charge of the Hintz funeral home.
