CLERMONT COUPLE DIES IN CRASH

A two-car crash Friday night, Sept. 27, took the life of a Clermont couple and seriously injured a Tripoli man.

Lester N. Crain, 74, and his wife, Lila, 70, were killed in the 7:25 p. m. crash, four miles west of Clermont on Highway 18.

Mark S. Tracy, 23, Tripoli, was taken by ambulance to Palmer Memorial Hospital, West Union, and transferred to Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo.
