Mrs. Herriott Townsend Died Sunday

Mrs. Herriott Townsend, aged 74 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rollin Butler, 428 second avenue NE., at 12:30 Sunday morning. Her home is at Sycamore, Ill., and she came to Oelwein. Thanksgiving Day to visit her daughter. She was taken sick from an infection caused by a carbunkle and death came to her relief only Sunday despite all aid of medical science. The body was taken to the Hintz funeral home where it awaits the resumption of train service to take it to the old home at Sycamore, Ill., where the funeral services will be held.
