Died, October 15, 1894, Eunice Stevens, aged 80 years, 9 months and 20 days. She was born in January 1814 in Caynhoga County, Ohio. Married Mr. Dewey in 1835, moved to Illinois in 1844 and to Fayette County in 1854. Eight children were born to them, four of whom died with diptheria in 1863. One daughter died in 1869. The father died in 1890. Three sons are living and in this locality. A large concourse of friends attended the funeral at the M. E. Church on Tuesday.
