Harley Moore, age 91, of Fayette, Iowa, died Saturday, June 4, 1994 at Palmer Lutheran Health Center in West Union, Iowa after a short illness. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7 at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein. Burial will be in Taylorsville Cemetery in Arlington, Iowa. The Rev. Alan Wolkenhauer of Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein will officiate.

Harley Moore was born June 20, 1902 in rural Fayette, Iowa, the son of Charles Edward and Elnora (Wilson) Moore. He married Edith Iona Voshell on November 25, 1933 in Manchester, Iowa. She died on April 6, 1991. He was a milk hauler for Wadena Butter and Cheese. Later he was the Fayette School custodian, a position he held for many years. After he retired in 1969, he was the Fayette Parks Commissioner for many years. He was a member of the Volga River Riders Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, Lawrence Moore and Mike Moore, two sisters, Hazel and Dorothy, and a grandson, Aaron Brandt.

He is survived by two daughters, Delores Brandt of Oelwein, Iowa and Judy Stalkfleet of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Lottie Stepp of Fayette, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
