SUMNER ~ Evelyn D. Hoehne, 90, died of natural
causes Monday morning, January 28, 2008 at the
Hillcrest Home in Sumner.
Private family graveside services will be Thursday
January 31, at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery,
Westgate.
Evelyn D., daughter of Albert and Anna Gardow
Thran, was born August 25, 1917 in Fayette county
Iowa. She graduated from Maynard High School in
1932. On September 30, 1939, she married Paul V.
Hoehne at Westgate (he died January 8, 1988). The
couple made their home for many years in the
Westgate area.
Survivors include two sons, David (Elizabeth) Hoehne
of Lynchburg, VA and Dale (Jennie) Hoehne of
Sumner; four grandchildren and two great grand-
children.
