Died, at the farm home near Lamont,
Monday, at 11 a. m., Sylvester Colton,
aged 73 years, 6 months. He lives a
widow and five children are to mourn
his loss. The four youngest children
are at home to comfort and console the
mother. The eldest, Mrs. Emma Eckert,
whose home is at Spencer, la., accompanied
by her husband, arrived in
Lamont, Wednesday, a. m. to attend
the funeral; also a niece Mrs. Gregory,
of Waterloo. Rev. Jess Smith officiated,
assisted by G. F. Young. The remains
were laid to rest in the Country
Corners Cemetery.
