Frederick Charles Jacobs, son
of Mr. and Mrs. John Jacobs, was
born in Banks Township, Fayette
county, Iowa, on September
22, 1865. He died on October 18
1923, at 4:20 a.m., at the hospital
at Waverly. The immediate
cause of his death was the stepping
onto a nail which caused
gangrene to set in and in turn
required the amputation of his foot.
