MAYNARD ---- Grace Dewey, daughter of Addison
Dewey, who was well known to many of our older
readers, died last Friday at a local hospital at
Tacoma, Washington. She was a prominent Tacoma
music teacher, being the author of the "Dewey
Piano System". She was born near Maynard, Iowa
and grew to young womanhood here, but for the
past 25 years has been in Tacoma. She was 49 years
of age at the time of her death. She is survived by
three brothers, M. J. Dewey of Welma, Washington,
Edward W. Dewey of Tacoma and N. C. Dewey of
Battle Ground, Washington and a sister, Mrs.
Leujeunie Rummel of Zillah, Washington.
