Mrs. W. L. (Anne Belle) Butler 1882 - 1903

Mrs. W. L. Butler died Monday morning, January 26
and the funeral occurs this afternoon from the
Baptist church, Rev. Toothacre officiating. Anna B.
Butler was born in Kansas, November 25, 1882, and
was the adopted daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Absalom
Butler. They have resided in this city for the past
four years. December 8, 1898 she was united in
marriage to W. L. Butler. She has been ill for some
months with tuberculosis and fell asleep Monday
morning. She leaves a father, two sisters and a brother
who reside in Oklahoma, besides her husband and
adopted father and mother here. Shortly before her
demise she wrote the following as her sentiments;
"Kind friends and neighbors, goodbye, For I must go.
I want all to try and meet me in the land of flowers
where there is no snow."
