Robert Wade, age 73, of Harpers Ferry, Iowa died Saturday, February 20, 1988 at Veterans Hospital in Tomah, Wisconsin. Funeral services were set for Friday, February 26 at 10 a.m. at Floral Hills Chapel, Oelwein, Iowa with Rev. Wayne Wasta of Guttenberg, Iowa officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Oelwein, Iowa. Casket bearers were Victor Williams, George Onken, Pat Cota, Ronald Rees, Sam Trotter, and Dave Dempster.

Robert was born July 25, 1914 in Arlington, Iowa to Lester and Izetta (McCulloch) Wade. He served in the Army during WWII. On July 31, 1947 he married Wilma Rees in Dubuque, Iowa. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by a brother. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Judy Lewis of Stoddard, Wisconsin; 2 grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Mary Ohl and Marian Lee, both of Oelwein, Iowa and Charlotte Kole of Dubuque, Iowa.
