Funeral services for Joan G. Hinkle, 64, of Randalia, Iowa were held Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at Becker - Milnes Funeral Home in Fayette, Iowa. Perry Comeau of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints officiated. Interment was in Grandview Cemetery in Fayette. Becker-Milnes Funeral Home, Fayette, was in charge of arrangements.

Joan's death occurred unexpectedly on Sunday, November 13, 2010 at her home in Randalia. Joan Gladys (Hautzinger) Hinkle, daughter of Gifford and Joyce (Edmunds) Hautzinger, was born January 9, 1946 in Jamestown, New York. She was united in marriage with Jan Hinkle on May 14, 1994 in San Marcos, California. After making their home on the West Coast, Joni and her husband lived for a long time in West Union, Iowa and most recently in Randalia.
Joan had been a semi driver for several years. She was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Preceding Joan in death were her parents; a son, Richard Richardson; and a sister, Rebecca Buzard. In addition to her husband, Jan, of Randalia, she is survived by their children, Tammy Johnson, James Pangborn, Michael Richardson, Mariah Hinkle, Timothy Hinkle, Sheila Hinkle Anderson, Tiffany Hinkle, and Shallon Rooney; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Moe,Diane Barnes, and Janice Todd; an aunt and numerous other relatives.
