Mrs. Martin Freeman died at her
home east of town Thursday, April 20.
1905, after an illness of more than a
year. She was born in Pennsylvania
in 1852. With her parents moved to
Iowa in 1877 and was married in 1880
to Martin Freeman. Funeral services
were held at the Presbyterian church
Saturday atfernoon, Rev. Shreve, of
Oelwein officiating. The floral offerings
were very beautiful. The large
concourse of friends and neighbors
howed the esteem in which she was
held. Relatives and friends were present
from Greeley, Fayette and Surnner.
She leaves to-mourn her loss her
husband, mother and one sister and
two brothers beside numerous friends.
Fern Rebekah lodge of which she was
a member took charge of the exercises
at the grave. She was the first president
of the Cemetery Association and
while her health permitted did much
toward making the association a success.
She will be sadly missed by a
large circle of friends who deeply
sympathize with the bereaved ones.
