Mrs. Jane McCormick. of whose death
we made mention in last week's REGISTER.
was born in Torome, Cane Co. Ireland,
May 24, 1822: moved to New York
state in 1842, from there to Wisconsin
in 1846 and in 1869 to Scott township,
Iowa. where she has since resided.
Mrs. McCormick was a beloved mother,
a good woman, a member of the Episcopal
church, a woman loved dearest by
those who knew her best. She was preceded
by her husband several years
ago. Several orphans, all of whom are
matured, are left to mourn the loss of
mother. The sympathy of the community
is extended.
