OELWEIN — Saturday, June 30,
funeral services have been set for
Carolyn M. Anderson. Mrs. Anderson,
94, 326 5th Ave. S.E., died Wednesday
afternoon at Hillcrest Home in Sumner.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday
at Zion American Lutheran Church,
Oelwein, with the Rev. Edward Zaiser
officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn
Cemetery.
Hintz-Geilenfeld Funeral Home is
handling arrangements. Friends may
call at the funeral home after 2 p.m.
today, Friday, and from 9 a.m.
Saturday until time of services at 10 am
Mrs. Anderson is survived by five
sons: Orville Volker, Washburn; Daniel
Volker, Joseph Volker and Edward
Volker all of Sumner; and Merrille
Volker, New Hampton; 20 grandchildren;
44 great-grandchildren; and
36 great-great-grandchildren. She was
preceded by her husbands, Emil Volker
and Earl Anderson; two daughters,
Verla and Marjorie; two brothers,
Henry and Lou; one sister, Martha;
and two grandchildren.
She was born Dec. 23, 1895 in Tripoli,
the daughter of Henry and Carolyn
Ganske Schmadeke
