Emil H. Volker, 80, died Friday,
Aug. 22, at Mercy Hospital, Oelwein.
He had been a resident of
Oelwein for the past 35 years.
Services will be held Monday,
2 p.m., at the Zion Lutheran
church, with the Rev. LaVerne
Streich officiating. Burial will be
in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Brant
Chapel after 7 p.m. Saturday.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy;
five sons, Joseph, Dan and
Edward, Sumner; 'Merle, New
Hampton, and Orville, Washburn;
one daughter, Mrs. Del Ward,
New York; two step-sons, Arthur
Weber, Waterloo, and Herbert,
Davenport; two stop-daughters,
Mrs. L. Gardner, Groves, Tex., and
Mrs. R. Guenther, Dundee; 38
grandchildren; and one sister,
Mrs. L. Bruns, Waverly.
