OELWEIN - Patricia J. McClain, 81, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at Mercy Living Plus in Oelwein.
Funeral services are 10:30 am on Saturday, Aug. 28, at Grace United Methodist Church in Oelwein with the Rev. Darwin Moore officiating.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home and one hour before services at the church on Saturday.
Burial is at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in rural Hazleton.
She was born June 1, 1929 on the family farm near Westgate, the daughter of Arthur and Hazel (Ware) Fauser. She graduated from Maynard High School in 1947.
She married Virgil McClain on June 12, 1950 at Grace United Methodist Church in Oelwein. She was a homemaker, clerk for OCCO and Iowa Finance, also a cook at the Oelwein School and helped Virgil farm. .
She is survived by her husband, Virgil of Oelwein; a daughter, Pam (Mark) Mahoney of Knoxville, and a son, Jim (Anita) McClain of Cherokee; 9-grandchildren, Jason (Jesse), Joshua (Maggie), Zachary, Stephanie, Cheyenne, Justin, Tara, Steven and Alex; 8-great grandchildren, Sidd and Jack Mahoney, Evan Devin, Isabelle, Gabriel, Jessalynn, and Draven; four siblings, Arlene Robinson of Oelwein, Jean (Merle) Smith of Oelwein, Grover (Gerry) Fauser of Evansdale and Duane (Maureen) Fauser of Evansdale and a sister-in-law, Donna Fauser of Oelwein.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindee McClain; a sister, Marge Simpson; 3-brothers, Ernie Fauser, Max Fauser and Art Fauser and her parents, Art and Hazel.
A memorial fund has been established in her name for Grace United Methodist Church.
