Funeral services for Mrs. Herman
(Amelia) Kohtz, 61, will be
held at the Lutheran church here
at 2 p. m. Saturday, Jan. 24, the
Rev. H. E. Dieter officiating.
The body lies in state at Hintz
funeral home. Burial will be in
Woodlawn cemetery.

Mrs. Kohtz had lived in Oelwein
the past eight years. She was born
in Fayette County Sept. 17, 1891,
the daughter of Rudolph and Alvina
Klingfus Ott. She died at 3 pm
Wednesday in Allen Memorial hospital,
Waterloo.

Surviving are her husband Herman
Kohtz, 205 7th Street, S. W., Oelwein;
her sons, Rudy Roepke, Hazleton,
Arnold Roepke, Dubuque; her daughters,
Mrs. Clair McDonnell (Elsie), Dubuque,
Mrs. Fred Clendennen (Claribell) and
Mrs. Verle Wells (Zelma), Hazleton;
24 grandchildren; one great grandchild.

Other survivors include three sisters
and three brothers; Mrs. H. C. Hussey,
Waterloo; Mrs. Frank Chase, Arlington;
Mrs. Louis Strempke, Oelwein; Albert
Ott, Sumner; Fred Ott, Arlington;
August Ott, Fairbank.
