Maria Lucinda Todd (Martin) was
born January 26th, 1832, in Bradford,
County, Pa. She was married to Wm.
Martin May 2, 1850. To this union
were born five children, four of whom
with her husband, have proceeded her
in death.
Since the death of Mrs. Martin's
husband in 1897 she has made her
home with her daughter, Mrs. H. W.
Dickman. She has been an invalid
for over 50 years,the last 12 years of
which she was a great sufferer with
a broken hip.
Relief from her suffering came
June 16, 1921, at the age of 89 years,
4 months and 21 days when she passed
peacefully and quietly over into
the Great Beyond.
Mrs. Martin was a member of the
Christian church. During the latter
years of her life she was unable to attend
any of the church services.
She was always a loving wife and
mother, She suffered a great deal; but
was always patient, bearing up bravely
under all of her sorrows.
Although nearly 90 years of age she
kept her youth well and her mind
clear and being a great reader, she
was always interested in all public
affairs both community and national.
She always lived a good life and was
ready and anxious to meet her Saviour
whom she had so fervently trusted
for so many years, and her loved ones
who had proceeded her to the Great
Beyond.
