Mrs. Lulu Sarah Stirk, 70, died
at 6:20 p. m. Sunday, June 20 at
Mercy hospital. She had lived in
Oelwein 28 years.. She was born
June 12, 1878 at Auburn, Iowa,
Iowa, the daughter of Samuel and
Susan West Bower. She married
Mason Stirk at Waucoma in 1902.
Survivors include her husband;
two daughters,, Mrs. Grace Youngquist
and Mrs. C. M. Ryker of
East Moline; Ill..; three sons, John
at home; Mason, jr. and Roy at
East Moline, Ill.; one brother. Will
Bower.of Mason City. One daughter,
Helen, preceded her in death.
Announcement of the funeral
arrangements will be made later.
The body will be at the Brant
Funeral home until services.
