Annis Mary Webster Rathbun 1839-1914

Annis Mary Webster was born in Ashtabula Co. Ohio
April 18, 1839, passed away January 25, 1914 at the
home of her daughter Mrs. Mike Rommel at Westgate,
Ia. At the age of five years she moved with her parents
to Stephenson Co. Illinois and in 1856 she was united
in marriage to Sheldon Rathbun and in the year of
1862 they moved to Bremer Co. Iowa. To this union
were born seven children, four of whom survive her,
two boys and two girls to mourn her death.
For the pas 13 years she has resided with her daughter
Mrs. Rommel.
Mrs. Rathbun has been ailing for some time of a disease
which the doctors pronounced incurable and in her
terrible suffering she was taken to her everlasting rest.
The funeral services took place at the Rommel home
Wednesday January 28, at 10 o'clock. Rev. C. E.
McKelvey officiating.
The remains were laid to rest at Grove Hill.
