Thomas Steele d. 1906 abt age 41

The death of Thomas Steele occurred
at his residence north of the Great
Western roundhouse Sunday at 1
o'clock. He had been ill for about five
weeks, and had been confined to his
bed for three weeks with typhoid
fever. He was employed by the Great
Western as a machinist's helper and
was a member of the helpers' union,
and carried $3,000 insurance with the
Modern Woodmen of America.
Mr. Steele was born in Apple River.
Illinois, about forty-one years ago.
He was a married man, his wife being
an inmate of the state hospital at
Independence. There are five children,
One girl and four boys. The
daughter is at the point of death with
typhoid fever. She is the oldest child,
and is about fifteen years of age, while
the youngest boy is four years of age.
Sisters of the deceased reside in Illinois,
Wisconsin, Dakota, and he has
half brothers residing in Dakota and
Apple River, Illinois. They have been
wired, and some of them will arrive
in the city Monday night when it will
decided relative to the time of
holding the last services.
