Richard F. Ladeburg, 85, of Oelwein died Thursday July 19, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Oelwein after a short illness. Internment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein.

Born in Oelwein, IA on Jun. 12, 1922
Departed on Jul. 19, 2007 and resided in Oelwein, IA.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, three sons; Richard L. (Jan) Ladeburg of Westgate, Rex (Judi) Ladeburg of Winthrop, and Randal (Janet) Ladeburg of Oelwein. Also surviving are seven grandchildren Richard, Jason, Ryan, Heidi, Shelli, Missy, and Susan and 12 great-grandchildren.

His parents preceded him in death.

Richard was born June 12, 1922 to Ferdinand and Else Ladeburg in Oelwein. He married Phyllis Brown on June 27, 1943 in Waterloo, IA. Richard worked 34 years for John Deere retiring in 1976. He enjoyed small engine repair and spending time in his garage or fishing.
