Olga Jeannette Nims

Funeral services for Olga Nims were held Saturday, Sept. 6, 1986 at 11 a.m. at the West Clermont Lutheran Church. The Rev. David Johnson officiated. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in God's Acres Cemetery.

Olga Jeannette Nims, daughter of Elling and Tilda (Christopherson) Fretheim, was born October 21, 1923 at Decorah, IA. She died Wednesday, September 3, 1986 in University Hospitals, Iowa City, IA.

She attended the Decorah Schools. October 29, 1941 she was married to Frank Nims at Decorah. They had five children. Following their marriage they lived at Clermont, moving to the farm in October of 1941 and retiring to Clermont in March of 1977.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving is her husband, Frank, 3 sons, LaVerne, Robert and his wife, Luann and Gary and his wife, Melody, all of Clermont, 2 daughters, Janice Nims of Clermont and Jeanette and her husband, Joel Moschel, of Hawkeye, IA, 8 grandchildren: Cory, Stacy, Chrystal and Lucas Nims, Christopher and Mitchell Nims and Aleisha and Kyle Moschel, a brother, Elmer Fretheim of Morgantown, WV and a sister, Irene Hodson of Indianapolis, IN.

She was a member of the West Clermont Lutheran Church.

Casket bearers were Merle Anderson, Jerry Anderson, James Anderson, Leslie Nims, David Loftsgard and Marvin Larson.
